Dior Sauvage Extrait is the newest and most intense expression of the iconic Sauvage collection, launched in 2026 and created by Francis Kurkdjian, Dior’s Perfume Creation Director. This new Extrait takes the familiar Sauvage signature into a darker, richer and significantly more luxurious direction, with rare Vietnamese oud at the heart of the composition.
Unlike Sauvage Elixir, which is built around an intensely spicy and aromatic character, Sauvage Extrait focuses on a sophisticated contrast between luminous freshness and deep, textured woods. Bergamot, lavender and Ambroxan provide a recognizable opening, while Vietnamese oud introduces a distinctive leathery depth. The base brings together Atlas cedar, Virginia cedar, Indonesian patchouli and Madagascan vetiver for a powerful, smoky and refined trail.
